How to distinguish female and male

This is the most important thing you need to know if you would like to breed crystal red shrimp. If you can not distinguish female and male, there would be not fun to breed them.

Body shape: The belly of a mature female is wider and rounder, with four shorter tentacles in front of eyes, compared to a mature male.

The link below will lead you to photos of a male. You will see the hugh different between them.

Ovary: Female's ovary is located in the connection place of head and body. That would be a shallow spot. Distiguish it from intestine, which is a long tube in the body.

(P.S. this female is going to be pregnant soon)
